Privacy & recording consent
This summary explains, in plain language, what happens with your information when you take part in a Duplex recording session.
What we collect
When you book, we store both participants' names, email addresses, phone numbers, country of residence, place of birth, native language, age range and accent preference, plus the conversation topics you selected. During the session we record audio on separate channels per speaker.
Why we collect it
The audio is used to research and improve conversational AI systems for Mexican Spanish. The demographic fields let us measure and balance coverage across regions, ages and accents. Contact details are used only to confirm your session and send reminders.
What we never do
We do not use recordings for voice biometrics or speaker identification, we do not sell your personal data, and we do not publish recordings that identify you without a separate, explicit agreement.
Who can see your data
Only authorised Mejorar AI operations staff and the studio team handling your session. Access is restricted per role, and every change to a booking is written to an audit log.
Retention
Contact details are kept for as long as needed to administer the programme and then deleted. Recordings are retained as research data in de-identified form.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent before the session cancels the booking; afterwards we remove your recording from future datasets.
Contact
Write to privacy@mejorar.ai with your booking code and we'll respond within 30 days.
